We are seeking a highly motivated and adaptable financial professional to lead our ESG External and Financial Reporting process improvement initiatives to support Enbridge's corporate sustainability commitments and the timely and reliable reporting of ESG information.


As a manager, you will work as part of a multidisciplinary team with a special focus on instilling rigour in the processes governing the recording-to-reporting of ESG data, and ultimately enable reasonable assurance in our key ESG metrics.

  • Lead the external reporting of key ESG metrics in Enbridge's sustainabilityrelated publications, including the accompanying assurance processes
  • Act as data steward for externally reported ESG data, and lead all aspects of data collection for the purpose of internal reporting, including developing expertise in Enablonbased carbon accounting tools
  • With outstanding knowledge and specialization in finance and assurance processes lead the roadmap to reasonable assurance gap analysis for key ESG metrics.
  • Through cross functional collaboration, recommend and lead implementation of improvements required in the processes and controls for the recordingtoreporting of ESG data, including integrating ESG reporting with existing Financial Reporting processes as appropriate
  • Implement pragmatic and innovative ESG reporting best practices that take into consideration the complexity of ESG reporting, and the interaction of various existing/ future protocols and guidance, including the pending SEC disclosure requirements
  • Support/lead the development of analytical procedures in externally reported ESG data
  • Support enterprisewide awareness and knowledge building efforts, focusing on controls and assurance requirements related to the ESG reporting process
  • Liaise and maintain relationships with external parties such as auditors and consultants, and internal functions including and not limited to Environmental teams, Public Relations, Legal, Investor Relations, IT and Corporate Strategy, to ensure efficiency and timeliness of assurance and reporting processes

You are:

  • CPA designation with 8+ years of directly related experience
  • Stellar project management and organizational skills, including the ability to independently lead and prioritize multiple concurrent projects
  • Comfortable with temporary ambiguity
  • Strong critical thinking skills to validate and challenge information provided by various sources;
  • A professional presence with the ability to quickly establish personal credibility and demonstrate expertise, develop, and maintain collaborative working relationships;
  • Effective communication skills, both written and oral, and able to deliver internal presentations to small to medium sized audiences.
  • Collaborative and responsive to the requirements of others.
  • Previous experience with sustainability & ESG reporting, change management, Sox implementation, and reporting systems such as Oracle, HFM and Wdesk will be considered as an asset
