Overview:


We are hiring for a part-time and contract-based Speech Language Pathologist position to join our team providing clinical services to children, and adults requiring Speech Therapy.

In this position, you'll be providing Speech Therapy alongside an SLP assistant to clients based on your criteria.


We are looking for a Speech Language Pathologist to join our team who is comfortable with either virtual and in-person working environments, with previous experience working with children, or adults in a speech therapy capacity.

We offer competitive rates commensurate with experience, and up to $5,000 in supplementary income through clinical education opportunities

About the Role:

As a Speech Language Pathologist, your day-to-day responsibilities will include providing clinical services to clients you have accepted,

You will be responsible for providing clinical services to a variety of clients. The amount of clients, and hours are dependent on capacity, and can range from a minimum of 10 hours a week, up to 30 hours (get confirmation.)

Our clientele includes:

children of all needs and capabilities, including children on the autism spectrum; Adults, including adults requiring post-stroke speech treatment, and professional assessments, and other individuals seeking individualized speech therapy treatments.

Qualifications - What We're Looking For:


Requirements:


  • MSc in Speech-Language Pathology
  • Registration with CASLPO / Eligibility to register with CASLPO
  • Proven organizational, interpersonal, and time management skills.
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills.
  • Ability to work collaboratively with other team members, clients and their families.
  • A passion for helping others with their communication goals

Assets:


  • 1+ year(s) supervising CDAs and SLP-As
  • 1+ year(s) of previous experience working with clients in a Speech Language Pathology capacity.
  • A valid Ontario Driver's License and access to a personal vehicle or other reliable methods of transportation (Hybrid/In-Person only)
  • Interest and experience working with the paediatric population, including children on the spectrum
  • Previous experience in providing playbased therapy
  • Strong ability to problem solve, work independently, and selfmonitor
  • Experience with SOAP documentation via Alayacare or similar software.
  • Comfortable working in a hybrid/travelbased environment
