    Darling International Canada Inc. is a leading provider of rendering and recycling services to the food industry in Canada.     JOB SUMMARY:
    Seeking a 3rd Class Engineer to join our team at the Dundas, Ontario location. Reporting to the Chief Engineer, this role involves assisting in power plant operations and maintenance. The primary responsibilities include ensuring the safe and efficient operation of a high-pressure steam plant, compressor systems, water treatment, and air quality control systems.
    SCHEDULE: MONDAY TO FRIDAY ROTATING SHIFTS (DAYS, AFTERNOONS AND NIGHTS) OVERTIME IS AVAILABLE AFTER 40 HOURS
    RESPONSIBILITIES:
    • Ensure departmental compliance with standards such as the Ministry of Environment and Climate Change, Ministry of Labour, and other relevant authorities
    • Maintain and develop HACCP plan, GMP's, SOP's, and procedures in alignment with company policies
    • Perform assigned duties as directed by supervisor
    • Adhere to all company policies and procedures
    • Hold a 3rd Class Operating Engineer certification
    • Working towards obtaining a 2nd Class certification within 6 months
    • Experience in rendering or food manufacturing is advantageous
    • Educational background in Engineering, Agriculture, Science, or related field is a plus
    • Familiarity with boilers, water treatment, and related equipment
    • Knowledge of air quality control systems is a bonus
    • Experience in maintaining boilers, steam distribution systems, and air quality control systems
