What we are looking for:


Our Outpatient Paediatric Diabetes, Lifestyle and Endocrine clinics are composed of a dynamic and compassionate inter-professional team which provides assessment and treatment to paediatric patients with a diagnosis of diabetes, various endocrine diseases, and paediatric patients requiring lifestyle support.

You will be responsible for administering, and interpreting psychological assessments, communicating a diagnosis, short-term goal oriented individual counseling, group therapy, program development and evaluation.


The psychologist will provide diagnostic assessment as well as individual, and group therapy to patients within the Paediatric Diabetes, Lifestyle and Endocrine Clinics.

The psychologist will be responsible for direct care, program planning and evaluation, as well as psychological assessments including psychometric testing.


What you bring to the role:

  • D. in Clinical Psychology with current registration with the College of Psychologists of Ontario
  • Minimum of 3 years of recent clinical experience assessing and treating paediatric patients and families with mental illness
  • Demonstrated exceptional clinical leadership and team collaboration in the assessment and therapeutic treatment of paediatric patients with mental illness
  • Welldeveloped psychological testing and analytical/evaluative skills
  • Welldeveloped skill in individual therapy using a variety of modalities
  • Experience developing and running CBT groups for mood and anxiety disorders
  • Experience in Dialectical behaviour therapy
  • Experience with program development and program evaluation
  • Experience in ACT and Motivational Interviewing
  • Demonstrated commitment to and experience with using empirically supported treatments
  • Experience using shortterm, goal oriented psychotherapies
  • Proven excellent communication, organizational and interpersonal skills
  • An extensive knowledge of community resources and ability to liaise with community partners
  • Proven ability to work effectively both independently and as a member of the team
  • A commitment to ongoing professional development
  • Proficient computer skills
  • Demonstrated good attendance record with the ability to maintain this same standard
  • Demonstrated commitment to a healthy and safe workplace for self and others (staff, patients, families, etc.) by taking all reasonable precautions and working in compliance with hospital related policies, health and safety legislation and best practices and completing relevant mandatory education as required.
