Operations Manager in the large team of Securities Operations (Investment Operations) means being at the heart of delivering products and services to National Bank's wealth management clients.

We are looking for a passionate
Operations manager that will lead a team of 25-40 employees. To succeed, you'll be supported by 2 section manager(s) and experts.


Your role

  • Manage a team responsible for operational processes.
  • Develop a business plan for your sector aligned with the bank's objectives.
  • Implement strategies to improve efficiency and productivity.
  • Participate in improving operations by identifying and preventing/correcting problems.
  • Stay uptodate with the latest technologies and work processes to increase productivity and reduce costs.
  • Help your team excel by setting and monitoring performance goals.
  • Engage and help your employees progress and develop their skills.
  • Collaborate effectively with partners related to your service.

Your team


Within the Account Opening and Documentation Management - NBIN Clientele (aka CPMC) sector, you report to a Senior Manager Investment Operations.


When a new client joins the Bank via our NBIN (National Bank Independent Network), we need to make sure that the accounts are properly set up in our systems.


At the same time, we need to comply to regulations by handling properly the different information provided by our new client to ensure fiscal and industry regulations.

This is the mandate of your team


Basic requirements

  • Master's degree related to the sector of activity and 4 years of relevant experience, or Bachelor's degree related to the sector of activity and 6 years of relevant experience
  • Experience in staff management and coaching less experienced managers
  • Experience in operations management and process optimization
  • Project Management : especially continuous improvement (ex: Lean 6 Sigma green belt)
  • Experience in planning and organizing work based on volume, resources, and priorities
  • Experience in managing operational performance (KPI, deadlines, quality) and collective performance (synergy and teamwork)
  • Industry regulation knowledge (CRS, FATCA, QI, AML), an asset
  • Communication skills and ability to mobilize a team
