As an integral member of the primary care team, the _
Medical Office Assistant_ (MOA) greets and guides patients into exam rooms, obtains basic measurements (BP, pulse, weight, height, as needed).
the hours are 3:30pm to 7pm; Monday to Thursday. These hours are non-negotiable._
Education/Experience:
- Medical office certificate or related experience.
- Related experience in a hospital or medical office setting preferred.
- Knowledge of Health Information Act and/or Freedom of Information and Protection of Privacy.
- Experience using an Electronic Medical Record (EMR) and NetCare.
- Ability to do ear flush; removal of stitches, and minor dressings.
Skills/Competencies:
- Ability to work independently, with professionalism in a busy office environment.
- Ability to develop and maintain electronic records management systems, using EMR.
- Excellent teamwork and relationship building skills.
- Excellent organizational, time management skills with the ability to prioritize.
- Professional oral and written communication skills.
- Problemsolving and strategic thinking skills.
- Respect for privacy and confidentiality.
- Ability to adapt to unexpected new situations.
Job Types:
Part-time, Permanent
Pay:
$19.50-$23.72 per hour
Expected hours: 12 per week
