Job Brief:
The Recruitment and Onboarding Advisor is a part of the Human Resources Department and responsible for delivering and executing on recruitment and onboarding initiatives.
Are a key driver in the talent acquisition strategy and workforce planning for Control Tech operations in Canada and the United States.
Duties & Responsibilities:
- Consult with hiring managers and supervisors to determine specific job requirements, staffing needs and key information before recruiting.
- Manage ATS System and maintain appropriate tracking methods and processes.
- Advertise, source, screen and shortlist resume and qualified applicants using the internal ATS System.
- Prepare offers of employment.
- Support the planning and execution of Control Techs recruitment strategy, including attending company recruitment events, open houses, and job fairs at various locations,
- Identify when recruitment challenges persist and collaborate with the Human Resources Manager, Hiring Managers, VP, of Business Development and the BD team in proposing solutions.
- Resourceful, systematic and the ability to work under pressure with competing priorities with a variety of technologies and sourcing strategies.
- Identify areas of improving efficiency and quality for recruiting highturnover positions.
- Complete various reports and collect recruitment stats to be shared with various stakeholders.
- Facilitate the onboarding administrative processes, assist new hires with onboarding process and ensure all documentation have been complete and required certifications and documents are collected during the onboard process.
- Conducts new hire orientation regarding Control Tech compensation, benefits, and ethics policies; guides new hires through employee paperwork and works with payroll and administration to ensure pay and IT access are set up.
- Collect documents for background checks, D&A testing including references checks.
- Validate all onboarding requirements per position, to ensure site requirements are met for each hire (Specific to field technicians and the regions and or clients that they work for).
- Work with Hiring Managers, Human Resources, and Payroll to deliver the best in industry new hire and onboard experience.
- Ensure proper documentation and filing convention for all new hire employee files is completed.
Required Skills & Abilities:
- Excellent professional verbal and written communication skills.
- Highly proficient in using the Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word).
- Experience in behavioural and situational based interviewing techniques.
- Experience with both highvolume as well as strategic recruitment, preferably with experience in both.
- Be selfmotivated with sound decisionmaking and problemsolving skills; have an aptitude for analyzing situations and formulating solutions.
- Exceptional administrative and organizational skills with a high level of accuracy and attention to detail.
- Demonstrates sound work ethics, cultural awareness, honesty, and confidentiality with regards to private and sensitive information.
- Attention to detail and ability to multitask in a fastpaced environment.
- Excellent organizational skills and attention to detail.
- A positive and proactive approach towards problemsolving and meeting challenges.
- Strong computer skills with demonstrated experience with Microsoft Office Suite, HRM (ARCORO) software, and ATS (ARCORO) software.
Qualifications:
years experience in a HR or Recruitment role (Experience in the E&I or Oil and Gas industry is an asset)
- Experience and knowledge of Technical Trades and Apprenticeship Programs would be considered an asset.
- Ability to handle confidential information ethically with integrity and professionalism.
- Ability to find independent solutions to problems and anticipate recruitment and talent acquisition needs.
- Ability to travel within Canada and United States as required.
Education:
- Bachelor s degree/Associates Degree, Diploma or Certificate in Human Resources/Recruitment/ Business Administration or relevant field.
- Combination of Human Resources/Recruitment /education or experience in a similar role.
