Morrison Hershfield's Transportation Division provides planning, design and construction administration services for roadway, highway, transit/rail, bridge and related projects.

Responsibilities:

Carries out inspection activities to ensure conformance
Conducts site surveys, obtaining relevant information, equipment and materials
Searches for physical survey evidence (building ties, monuments, fences, etc.) and determines whether or not existing survey evidence suffices
Obtains additional survey evidence as necessary and determines when enough information has been obtained
Analyzes situations or data from which answers are easily obtained using standard procedure and practice
Assists to compile field data in report form for review of project designer

Qualifications:

A Post Secondary degree or diploma in Civil Engineering or Civil Engineering
Designation as determined by OACETT as a Road Construction Junior Inspector (rcji) Technology/Technician or currently as an engineering university/college student
Previous engineering/construction experience is an asset
Prior experience working on MTO projects
Either registration as a Professional Engineer or EngineerinTraining with PEO as a Technician or Technologist with O.A.C.E.T.T.
Able to work on weekends and nights, as required
Strong interpersonal and communication skills
Ability to work well in a team environment
Proficiency with MS Office
A valid Ontario 'G' Driver's License and access to a vehicle
