    What you will do:

    Reporting to the Home Centre Manager, the Estimator/Supervisor is responsible for assisting with growing sales and building key customer relationships while providing direction and leadership for customer project management. Working collaboratively with the Home Centre Management team, this position plays an integral role by:

  • Ensuring exceptional customer service is provided including providing estimates, consultation and advice to customers for building projects by interpreting client input, documentation, specifications, and design drawings to determine the costing and selling price associated to the building materials and manufactured components of the project.
  • Provide leadership and expertise for all in-house project planning and development including project scope, plans, and material/component specifications and supporting material/component estimates.
  • Monitors building material inventory levels, forecasts future inventory requirements and orders inventory accordingly. Maintain and develop relationships with current contractor clients and customers.
  • Develop new contractor relationships and business and elevate the Local Co-ops' presence in the industry.
  • Maintaining a safe environment for all employees, customers, and vendors. Ensuring compliance with all Health and Safety requirements.

    Who you are:

    You are looking for a career in Home & Building Products and:

  • Are able to read and interpret blueprints, maps, drawings and specifications
  • Are able to operate Seljax or similar computer software systems
  • Have a Certificate and/or Diploma with a preference for Building/Architectural Science or Construction Management.
  • Have 3 – 6 years of relevant experience.
  • Certified Architectural & Building Technologist (ABTAM) and/or Certified Engineering Technologist (CET) designation(s) are an asset.
  • You are honest and trustworthy, are results-oriented and strive to be the best in what you do.
  • You are available for a variety of shifts including days, evenings and weekends.
