- Advise a primarily employer focused clientele on labour and employment law matters
- Manage labour relations files, including the drafting of legal opinions and strategies
- Draft and review employment contracts, internal policies and other employment related documents
- Act on matters involving negotiations, disciplinary measures and terminations
- Represent clients before courts or administrative tribunals, depending on your interest and experience
- Maintain direct client contact and actively participate in file management
- Work closely with partners and the internal team in a spirit of mentorship and knowledge sharing
- Participate in related matters such as immigration or litigation mandates, depending on your interests
- Member in good standing of the Quebec Bar
- Approximately two to five years of experience in labour and employment law, or more depending on profile
- Strong interest in a specialized labour law practice in an employer focused context
- Excellent legal drafting and analytical skills
- Autonomy, sound professional judgment and a collaborative mindset
- Willingness to establish and practise in a regional setting, with in office presence to support integration
- Pragmatic, people focused and solution oriented approach

Approved by Lépine Talent, this position is intended for a lawyer who wishes to practise labour and employment law in a specialized manner within a recognized boutique firm, firmly established in the region and appreciated for the quality of its clientele and professional support.
Our client is a law firm that has been established for over ten years, resulting from the merger of two complementary practices. The firm has deliberately chosen to remain human sized in order to preserve its identity, its close relationships with clients and the quality of its expertise.
The practice focuses primarily on business law, labour and employment law, as well as civil and commercial litigation. Its clientele is composed mainly of local and regional employers and businesses, with certain mandates also coming from Montreal.

The Role
In the context of a gradual succession plan and controlled growth, the firm is looking to welcome a labour and employment lawyer to support and eventually take over a significant portion of the practice.
