The Commercial Administrator is responsible for reviewing and processing commercial subsequent and co-lending facility advances and repayments, supporting the team during the process of releasing undertakings/holdbacks, obtaining final reports, producing various reports and completing administrative and servicing duties as required by management.


The Incumbent will be reporting to the Manager, Commercial Servicing and Administration and will be working closely with the Commercial Underwriting teams, Senior Commercial Management, Mortgage Services and Accounting.


The Work :


  • The Commercial Administrator will review and process commercial subsequent and colending facility advances and repayments, supporting the team for release of undertakings/holdbacks, review and process partial discharge requests, obtain final reports for the commercial portfolio, produce various reporting and complete administrative and servicing duties as required by management. (70%)
  • On a daily basis, the incumbent is responsible for time management of their workflow in order to meet prescribed deadlines. (10%)
  • The incumbent will also communicate with internal contacts (funders, underwriters, managers, and commercial mortgage sales staff) and external contacts (lending partners, mortgage brokers, solicitors and clients) to ensure transactions are processed in a timely and efficient manner in order to deliver superior customer service. (15%)
  • On a daily basis, the incumbent will be responsible for contributing to special projects as assigned from time to time. (5%)

Let's Talk About You :


  • Postsecondary education (diploma/degree), preferably in business, finance or law
  • Have a minimum of 2 years' mortgage administration experience
  • Comprehensive knowledge of real estate transactions and AML
  • Excellent working knowledge of MS Office (primarily excel)
  • Strong analytical and problem solving skills
  • Established time management and organizational skills demonstrating the ability to handle multiple competing priorities
  • Strong attention to detail
  • Highly developed verbal and written communication skills with the ability to respond in a clear, concise and professional manner
  • Bilingual ( French & English )

The incumbent will be working hybrid and in office time will be spent working from Equitable Bank's additional office space located at 351 King Street East, Toronto, ON.
