Apprenticeship Services Manager - Leave Replacement

Responsibilities:

The position will coordinate, manage, and deliver employment and training services specific to trades and apprenticeship for Indigenous clients throughout Saskatchewan.

Under the supervision of the Director of GDI Training & Employment, the Apprenticeship Services Manager will be responsible for all aspects of project oversight, including monitoring and achievement of measureable and specific project targets.

The Apprenticeship Services Manager will develop strategic partnerships with employers in the trades sector of the Saskatchewan labour market, and with other stakeholder agencies, in order to place Indigenous workers in apprenticeship positions.

The Apprenticeship Services Manager will ensure base standards are met in the case management of clients; monitor delivery services; organize and participate in recruitment of client and employer partners; supervise and manage staff; follow GDI policies/SGEU Collective Agreement; participate in regional labour market needs assessment processes; develop and negotiate proposals; and other duties as assigned by the Director.
