Seeds Supply Planner Manager

Where the Chemistry Happens:


Primarily responsible for coordinating the S&OP Process for Canola in NA, this role will play a significant part in providing the supply information to Sales and Marketing and assisting with Seed Production planning activities.

Additionally, this role will assist with the Master Data strategies for the Canola seed business aligning priorities with the Master Data group, entering requests, and supporting the overall team to ensure requests are entered.

Furthermore, they will manage the local production data for the production sites including recipes and costing activities. This role is responsible for being an SAP support as well as oversee inventory accuracy, write-offs and article obsolescence. These actions will facilitate a smooth handoff of strategic planning to daily execution, providing timely updates to generate relevant Master Data and impact inventory flow

You Will:


  • Be responsible for quarterly S&OP meetings, providing content guidelines, facilitating actions and follow up, holding supply coordination meetings and engaging team in communication to ensure Sales, Marketing, Controlling, Production, and Processing & Logistics are all aware of current supply and supply strategy.
  • Assist new user set up, provide key user support, and assist SAP projects at Lethbridge Site. Should be commutating to users on upcoming dates and activities to facilitate SAP use.
  • Manage the strategies and targets for creation and implementation of master data. Data should be in place prior to required usage date for new materials and treatments.
  • Assist in Inventory Audits, oversee the management of seed inventories to maintain accuracy and manage the disposal, write down and obsolescence of inventories.
  • Manage triangulation of inventories for management of margins. Will oversee the activities of selling semifinished product plus operating costs to US legal entity and buy back of market minus margin valued material for treating, packaging and distribution.

What We Look for in You:


  • Degree in business, supply-chain, commerce, or equivalent of education and related experience.
  • 35 years of Logistics & Supply-Chain related experience.
  • Knowledge of SAP Operating Systems.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office Tools.
