Job Summary:

***The Lifeguard will provide Pool and Water Slide supervision to ensure a safe and enjoyable environment while ensuring adherence to hotel safety policies.


Duties and Responsibilities:


Safety:
Practice strong risk management.
Ensure the safety and supervision of patrons in the Pool, Water Slide, and surrounding area.
Ensure compliance with the Ontario Health Regulations and all relevant policy and procedures manuals.
Participate in emergency drills


Operations:

***Ensures a safe swimming environment for members and guests through supervision.
Ensures that any equipment used is in place and operational and that the equipment is stored away after use.
Executes emergency procedures and uses safety/rescue equipment.
Chemical Testing and Balancing when required
Daily checks of pool furniture to ensure all are in good condition and tidy around the pool area.
Daily pickup of clean towels and delivery of soiled towels to the laundry room.
Work in accordance with the Hotels Health and Safety guidelines


Standards:

***Report with your supervisor at start and end of shift for work assignment and updates
Always maintain professional composure and attitude.
Be always mindful and respectful towards other team members and hotel guests.
Adherence to all Hotel, health, and safety policies


Knowledge, Skills and Qualifications:

Must be 16 years of age or older
Must have a valid Standard First Aid with CPR-C certification
Must have a current National Lifeguard Service certification
Able to work in a team environment and independently
Excellent communication skills
Must be safety conscious
Must be dependable, Punctual, reliable, and in full uniform for every shift
