Job description
Responsibilities:
- Perform routine inspections of the property to identify and action on deficiencies such as safety hazards, maintenance repairs, and site conditions.
- Respond promptly to building emergencies and resolve tenant service requests in a timely manner.
- Troubleshoot problems related to base building systems (HVAC, lighting & electrical, plumbing, fire & life safety, security, etc.) and ensure that they are all in working order. Perform routine maintenance on the systems as required.
- Maintain the interior and exterior common areas of the properties ensuring the property is kept safe, clean, and operational. This includes regular litter patrols and snow removal/salting as necessary.
- Coordinate with contractors and vendors for repairs, maintenance, and installations as required.
- Maintain records and reports of building operations and maintenance activities.
- Work with tenants to ensure problems are solved in an efficient and respectful manner.
- Perform and complete all assigned duties and responsibilities with minimum supervision.
- Review and assess areas in the buildings for areas of improvement.
Qualifications:
- Must have a valid driver's license and reliable transportation.
- Must be able to climb ladders and work at heights.
- Must be able to work in confined spaces and in various weather conditions.
- High school diploma or equivalent; technical or vocational training in a related field preferred.
- Minimum of 2 years of experience in building operations, maintenance, or related field.
- Ability to complete general repairs (i.e. drywall, paint, door hardware adjustments, lighting replacements, basic plumbing repairs).
- Familiarity of HVAC, fire & life safety, and security (Access control / CCTV) systems preferred.
- Strong troubleshooting / problem solving skills.
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with mínimal supervision.
- Selfmotivated and detail oriented.
- Ability to lift and move heavy equipment and supplies.
- Availability to for oncall after hours emergency response.
Salary:
$60,000.00-$65,000.00 per year
