Selkirk Montessori School in Victoria, BC is seeking Early Childhood Educators for their Montessori age 3-6 classrooms.

This is a full-time position with two other guides in a thriving Montessori environment. We are a community of diverse and enthusiastic learners, both students and on staff. We believe in community, teamwork, and bringing joy and interest to our learning.

Education:

BC Early Childhood Educator (ECE) certificate
Flexibility, expertise, and creativity when teaching alongside colleagues

Responsibilities:

Engagement with students of various learning levels and capabilities
Upkeep of the Prepared Environment
Positive behaviour management
Tracking of lessons, independence, and skills in Transparent Classroom
Parent communication

Other skills and qualities:
- excellent communication skills and respectful rapport
- ability to bring interest to life in the school environment
- a joy for working with young children of all different experiences and abilities
- strong organizational skills

Salary range is $42,181-$62,219 based on years of experience. Excellent working community, rich benefit package, good pension and professional development opportunities. We have four weeks paid holidays during the 10 month school year with summers off. Salary listed includes the $4/hour ECE WE.
