Objective:

As a member of the fixed assets team the Financial Analyst, Fixed Assets will report to the Manager, Finance.

The individual will play a key role in the reporting, tracking, analysis, and audit of Fixed Assets and Intangibles Assets.

The individual will be responsible for various aspects of the month end close and will support the business in responding to various enquiries and other projects as required.


Role and Responsibilities:


  • Support reporting initiatives including the preparation of financial statements, variance analysis, consolidation of business activity reports, and other key industry performance metrics
  • Support the team by owning the fixed assets cycle for the assigned operation units which includes the accounting of all capital transactions at project level, completion of capitalizations, assets transfers and retirements, review and analysis of assets
  • Assist in the preparation of forecasts and annual budget by consolidating input from Fixed Assets
  • Maintain IFRS 16 Leased Assets including Setup, Depreciate, Transfers, Disposal & Lease payments
  • Maintain & Balancing combined Schedule of Capital Assets on monthly basis
  • Conduct special financial reporting and businessrelated analysis as requested
  • Assist with monthend accounting close activities such as journal entry posting and account reconciliation
  • Assist with internal controls, external financial audits, and other operational audits as required

Qualification and Requirements:


  • University degree in Accounting, Finance, or Business with minimum 3 years relevant experience in FP&A and analyzing financial data in a large organization
  • CPA designation or working towards
  • Strong communication (verbal and written) and presentation skills
  • Ability to work with various teams across all levels and functions of the organization
  • Time management skills and ability to multitask with competing priorities
  • Demonstrates flexibility and agility to learn and thrive in a dynamic environment
  • Advanced proficiency in MS Excel, Word, Access etc.
