Your responsibilities will include coaching managers and supervisors on employee issues, policy compliance, and employment legislation.'''Responsibilities'''
- Supports staff in implementing the strategic plan, enhancing performance through continuous training, coaching, monitoring, and best practices.
- Coaches Managers and Supervisors on employee issues, aids in performance recovery, ensures policy compliance, and advises on employment legislation. Conducts research and develops guidelines aligned with current laws.
- Conduct job evaluations for new positions and participate in annual compensation reviews.
- Oversee recruitment and selection process for all positions.
- Review internal talent pool and succession grids, making recommendations and coordinating with managers.
- Monitor talent acquisition metrics and implement process improvements.
- Execute the annual performance evaluation cycle and track completion/submission of reviews.
- Conducts annual learning needs analysis, collaborates on a comprehensive learning strategy, designs and facilitates interventions, manages PSW training grants, supports internal experts, leads logistics for Agency training, and supervises external facilitators for Lumacare staff.
- Submits quarterly HR Risk Report to the Board of Directors and provides monthly reports to the Director, HR & Facilities, covering recruitment stats, health and safety reports, and headcount.
- Cultivates relationships with employment agencies, universities/colleges, and other recruitment sources. Collaborates with external partners, including Service Canada
- Canada Summer Jobs and Investing in Neighborhoods.
- Oversees Occupational Health and Safety programs for legislative compliance, reduces workplace hazards, and actively engages in the Joint Health and Safety Committee.
- Undertakes additional duties as needed, attending internal meetings and staying updated on safety, quality, and environmental standards.
To be successful in this role, you should possess the following skills:
- 5+ years of progressive Human Resources experience.
- Minimum 35 years in a Leadership capacity within HR.
- Knowledge and work experience with Employee Relations, Training, Benefits, Compensation, Ontario Grants Application Process, WSIB claims, and Employee Communications.
- Experience in leading Health & Safety initiatives across multiple locations.
- Welldeveloped coaching and leadership skills, both on a formal and informal basis.
- Bachelor's degree with a major in Business Administration, Commerce, or Human Resources.
- Human Resources Certification is an asset.
- Exceptional organizational and problemsolving skills, with a keen attention to detail.
- Outstanding interpersonal, relationshipbuilding, communication, and customerfocused skills are essential.
- Demonstrated ability to thrive in a fastpaced work environment.
- Valid Vulnerable Police Record Check completed within last 12 months is required.
