Position Summary


As an integral member of the Practical Platform trial team (a UHN-based global platform trial), the Platform Project Manager applies knowledge and experience of research and development to manage the development and conduct of the platform trial under the guidance of the trial Principal Investigator (PI).


Duties

  • Take responsibility for advancing and administering various aspects of platform development (methods working groups, website, communications)
  • Procurement/financial management and human resource management responsibilities
  • Performing administrative responsibilities leading to the efficient and effective operation of the platform research program
  • Performing crossfunctional and other duties consistent with the job classification as assigned and/or requested.

Qualifications

  • At a minimum, completion of a bachelors degree in Science or relatedEngineering (e.g., Biomedical) or recognized equivalent required.
  • A scientific background and/or training is preferred.
  • Completion of (or "in progress") a Project Management Professional ("PMP") designation preferred.
  • At minimum, over 4 years up to and including 6 years practical and related experience and/or 2 years onthejob training required.
  • At least five (5) years project coordination experience required
  • At least five (5) years working in a research lab environment required or equivalent
  • At least two (2) years experience in AutoCAD architectural drafting in detailed design, an asset
  • Experience with utilizing software programs including MS Office, MS Project, WIKI required
  • Experience in coordinating or managing clinical trials is strongly valued
  • Experience working in a hospital, an asset
