Description

Responsibilities include:

Liaising with research staff
Collect, process, ship, store, catalogue, and test various types of human patient samples for multiple sites and studies
Perform various laboratory techniques
Facility monitoring and equipment maintenance
Reviewing study protocols and maintaining records of sample processing
Order and maintain stock of study supplies for both the lab and for distribution to multiple sites
Act as technical support for study coordinators and investigators and provide training/orientation for selfservice clinical research laboratory activities
Demonstrated ability to follow established guidelines and protocols and to complete work assignments in effective and efficient manner
Maintain up to date training for clinical research
Laboratory services related communication, promotions and presentations

Basic Requirements (Education/Experience):

BSc in Sciences (Biology, Biochemistry, Genetics) or College Diploma (biotechnology, biochemistry, molecular biology) with less than 5years relevant experience
Experience working in a Clinical and/or Basic Research environment is an asset.
Experience in data and sample management
Superior interpersonal communication skills (written and oral)
Experience in the Transportation of Dangerous Goods (Class 6.2 and Class 9).
Certification in Tri-Council Policy Statement, Good Clinical Practice Guidelines, Health Canada Division 5

Preferred Qualifications:

Ability to perform phlebotomy
Superior interpersonal and communication skills (written and oral)
Highly organized with the ability to manage multiple priorities
Ability to work independently and as a team member
Customer service orientation
Previous laboratory experience
Presentation experience

Contract Details:

This is a 2-year full-time contract with the possibility of renewal.

Salary:
Min:$21.278/hr - Max:$30.747/hr
