As the Authorizations Specialist, you will work in a variety of settings and provide professional advice and may make decisions regarding the allocation of resources and adjudication of resource authorizations for the Natural Resource Sector.

Job Requirements:

A Bachelor's Degree in the resource management field, plus two (2) years of related experience*; OR,
A Diploma in the resource management field, plus three (3) years of related experience*; OR,
An equivalent combination of education and/or experience* may also be considered.
Valid BC Class 5 Driver's Licence or equivalent.

Preference will be given to applicants with the following:

Experience working in land authorizations under the Land Act.
Experience with land valuation analysis, techniques, and principles to ensure a fair and equitable return to the Crown for the allocation of these and related resources (e.g. land appraisals, timber).
Experience working with real estate law.
Related experience must include the following:
Experience working in natural resource management.
Experience in consulting, negotiating and resolving conflicts with stakeholders and/or partners in natural resource management.
Experience performing technical duties and working with key statutes that support natural resource management.
