As a member of this team, you will be responsible for:
Ensuring that the customer service philosophies are met and are an important part of the everyday operation of the Security Department
Ensuring that all Security personnel functions are being properly completed by the Security Department
Providing supervision for workers to ensure workplace safety and proper use of personal protective equipment
Ensuring that all employees, tenants and visitors abide by the shopping centres rules and regulations
Reviewing all reports and notebooks completed by Security personnel to ensure accuracy and timely submission
Performing duties and tasks as assigned by the Security Manager & Assistant Security Manager and respond to directions from all shopping centre management
Ensuring that each shift is properly manned at all times and perform Security Professional duties as required
Complying with all employer responsibilities prescribed under the applicable provincial Health and Safety Act
Partnering, reconciling, tracking contract security schedules and invoicing
Assist in the annual departmental budget process
Prepare the department's accounts payable and monthly statistics
Maintain Trespass Notice Program
Manage and maintain all departmental filings, including risk claim files
Oversee the monthly life safety inspections performed by Security staff


To succeed in this role, you have:5+ years of experience providing Security services. Previous experience in a Shopping Centre or large institution is considered a strong asset
2+ years of prior supervisory experience. Supervisory experience in a unionized environment is considered a strong asset
A post secondary education in Criminal Justice, Law, Police Foundations, or a related field
A valid G Class Ontario Drivers License with a clean drivers abstract
Must possess and maintain a valid Security License from the Ministry of Community Safety and Correctional Service
Must possess and maintain a valid First Aid and CPR C certification
Excellent customer service and communication skills
