We are looking for a highly skilled and experienced
Manager of Infrastructure Planning to join our growing team.

With a commitment to innovation, excellence, and growth, we are seeking a talented individual who can lead our IT infrastructure initiatives and strategic planning to ensure the seamless operation of our technology landscape.


In this newly created role, you will report to the Director of Information Management & Information Technology, and will primarily be responsible for the successful planning, delivery and integration of the information technology ecosystem into all Technology Services Infrastructure projects in support of Infrastructure Operations and Technology Services asset management.

You will support the strategic planning, asset management and budgets to ensure efficient and sustainable infrastructure operations.

You are known as an established supportive and collaborative leader with the ability to build, mentor, coach and lead an team of IT professionals

Key responsibilities in this role include:

  • Planning, organizing and managing the activities and plans for all Technology Services Infrastructure programs and projects including but not limited to, the development of infrastructure modernization roadmaps and capital plans such as cloud enablement and lifecycle management while ensuring mínimal risk to the business
  • Representing enterprise interests at the manager level with key project and Technology Services stakeholders, developing strategies, roadmaps, and business plans to optimize program and project delivery, mitigate risk, and ensure alignment to E-Comm goals and objectives
  • Participating as a member of the Technology Services leadership team, supporting the Director in creating longterm strategy and plans for business technology that ensure reliable, redundant and safe systems for E-Comm
  • Working with Technology Service members to lead the development, review, configuration, and approval of Technology Services Infrastructure programs and projects
  • Proactively identifying and quantifying key risks affecting the programs and projects and ensuring that viable risk management and mitigations are developed and implemented
  • Directing the planning, installation, troubleshooting and maintenance of technology infrastructure, as well as developing and maintaining a lifecycle roadmap related to all systems, infrastructure hardware, outsourced infrastructure services and associated information
  • Participating in the development of a Configuration Management Database (CMDB) aligned with ITIL best practices to ensure resources that are relevant can be automatically discovered and controlled throughout their entire lifecycle
  • Defining and maintaining the process for identification, recording and tracking of Configuration Items (CIs), including hardware, software, documentation, and related assets; ensuring that the Configuration Management Database (CMDB) is created and maintained to capture accurate and uptodate information about all components necessary for IT service delivery
  • Promoting and managing the development, implementation and maintenance of consistent Information Technology Infrastructure Library (ITIL) processes in the Infrastructure Services area
  • Developing, recommending and managing the departmental Capital Budget(s); monitoring, reviewing and approving expenditures related to infrastructure operating and capital projects, and conducting ongoing resource and costbenefit analyses
  • Overseeing the planning for purchasing, receiving, storing, and asset management of all technology services hardware for E-Comm and affiliated partners in identified locations to support business needs

WHAT YOU BRING:
  • Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, Engineering or a related field
  • 710 years of experience as a Senior Infrastructure Leader and/or a combination of education, training and experience
  • Minimum of 5 years' experience leading and delivering infrastructure programs/projects in a large enterprise environment in a leadership capacity
  • Expert knowledge of asset management, asset management systems, infrastructure planning, information technology and financial management
  • Demonstrated ability to oversee the delivery of programs/projects within a large enterprise environment, particularly in the public or complex environment is desirable
  • Ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships and strategic partnerships with internal and external stakeholders and vendors and to represent the department in various meetings, working groups and committees
  • Proven leadership skills, with the ability to independently establish broad program/project strategies, targets and measures,
