    Responsibilities

    Payroll:

    • Act as point ofcontact for Canadian team members related to Payroll inquiries andHRIS systems.
    • Ensure accuracy and consistency,including providing direction with respect to payroll policies andprocedures, taxation issues and legislation. Stays current onchanging federal/provincial legislation.
    • Troubleshoot, research and provide recommendations toresolve payroll issues.
    • Manage the time &attendance system for Canada, including new companyimplementations, reporting and employee/manager systemsupport.
    • Assist in the management of T4 andT2200 process for Canadian employees.
    • Maintaincurrent knowledge of applicable federal and provincial laws,regulations and reporting requirements relating to salaries, wages,overtime, benefit plans and workers' compensation.
    • Maintain supporting documents for internal/externalauditors and respond accurately, thoroughly, and timely to requestsfor data.
    • Serve as Canadian liaison withPayroll US for training and questions. Provide updates to team onupcoming payroll items that may drive calls.
    • Ensure accurate and timely payroll processing andreporting requirements.
    • Payroll US backup:Provide payroll services through the preparation and processing ofbi-weekly payroll for both hourly and salaried employees acrossmultiple provinces.

    PayrollHRIS:

    • Serves as technical resourceproviding HR systems support, including training, system access,and issue troubleshooting and resolution, and system dataintegrity.
    • Manage HRIS ticketing for employeepayroll changes for retro processing to ensure all necessaryadjustments are properly recorded and paid.
    • Manage the Employee Time Off process and reporting forall Canadian employees.
    • Ensure the timemanagement system has accurately captured hourly employee'stimes.
    • Audit transactions entered in the HRISincluding new hires, employee changes and terminations.
    • Prepare end-user documentation, testing, or trainingmaterials as needed for HR systems.
    • Generatesand executes custom reports and dashboards from HRSystems
    • Support implementation of HR Systemupgrades or updates through system support and analysis of time,pay and benefits configuration, including functionality, designreview and end to end user testing.
    • Performother duties and responsibilities as required.

    Education & Experience:

      • Secondary Education with degree inhuman resources, Business Administration, or a related fieldpreferred
      • 2-3 years' experience in supportingCanada payroll environment within large corporations at a regionaland/or global level.
      • Multiprovince payrollprocessing experience is a great asset.
      • Bilingualism (French/English) preferred.
      • Experience in Canadian payroll legislativerequirements
      • Experience with UKG Pro and/orTime & Attendance systems
      • Proficiency inMicrosoft Office, specifically Excel
      • CertifiedPayroll Professional (CPP) or Fundamental Payroll Certification(FPC) is preferred.
      • Basic understanding ofpayroll processes, procedures, controls, regulations, andcompliance related to all different areas across HR.
