Position Overview
Reporting to the Principal Investigator.

This Recurring part-time position is an hourly position with variable hours. Recurring part-time employees are hourly employees engaged to perform work on an irregular schedule.


Position Description

Summary of Key Responsibilities (job functions include but are not limited to):

  • Under general supervision & direction of the PI
  • Assist with performing basic duties
  • Clean and put away labware and equipment
  • Reliable and safe operation of all laboratory equipment
  • Data Entry
  • Keep laboratory and work area clean and safe
  • Ensures supplies and lab equipment are clean and well stocked
  • Assist other lab personnel (technical and trainees) when required

Qualifications / Requirements:


  • Undergraduate degree or High School Diploma preferred
  • At least 3 months in the research field
  • Familiarity with basic laboratory equipment
  • Ability to follow strict laboratory methodologies routinely
  • Assist in the operation and maintenance of complex technical equipment
  • WHMIS
