Our growing business is seeking an experienced Compost Manager to work in your Compost department.

***The Inventory Clerk oversees the seamless execution of daily operations related to inventory management within our farm operations. This role is crucial in managing the comprehensive administration of all maintenance inventory components, including facilitating purchases, overseeing shipments, coordinating incoming deliveries, and meticulous management of inventory using Limble. The Inventory Clerk ensures the availability and readiness of all necessary parts and supplies, maintaining an organized and efficient inventory system that supports the farm's operational needs and sustainability goals. This position requires a detail-oriented approach, exceptional organizational skills, and a commitment to maintaining the highest standards of inventory accuracy and control.

KEY RESPONSIBILITIES

Control the administration of all maintenance inventory parts, including the purchasing, shipment, incoming deliveries, and inventory management using Limble.
Digitally manage inventory and create comprehensive inventory reports using Limble.
Act proactively to prevent supply shortages and manage unexpected shortages efficiently.
Negotiate prices with suppliers to ensure the best possible terms and cost savings.
Order materials as needed, based on inventory levels and operational requirements.
Reconcile any discrepancies between physical stock counts and digital inventory data to maintain accuracy.
Review and process both incoming and outgoing orders, ensuring they are completed accurately and on time.
Create, update, and maintain detailed supplier purchasing files, complete with uptodate pricing information and order history.
Monitor and administrate a preventative maintenance plan to ensure all equipment and systems are maintained according to schedule.
Communicate with and manage all maintenance contractors and external maintenance workers, coordinating their tasks and schedules.
Monitor daily spending across all departments and report on weekly financial outgoings and cash flow to maintain budgetary compliance.
Administer the expenditure of each manager, ensuring that budget allocations are adhered to and optimized.
Work in conjunction with the purchasing and accounts payable (AP) departments to streamline and oversee the accurate processing of invoices and payments, including addressing any auditing issues with accounting and ensuring that suppliers are paid in a timely manner.
Engage in direct communication with suppliers to address and resolve any billing and accountingrelated issues, ensuring clarity, accuracy, and timeliness in all financial transactions.

To be considered for this position you must meet the following requirements:

QUALIFICATIONS AND EDUCATIONAL REQUIREMENTS

Earn a high school diploma or an equivalent. Becoming an Inventory Clerk requires at least a high school level education.
While earning an associate degree is beneficial, postsecondary education is not a requirement for working as an Inventory Clerk.
Spend time working in inventory management to gain practical experience in the field.
Advance to the role of Inventory Clerk by demonstrating competency and expertise in inventory management practices.
