    Description

    MODERN CITY HOMES LTD. Located at street, Surrey, BC, V3S 5M4 is currently looking for 3 CONSTRUCTION PAINTERS to join their team as soon as possible.

    Full-time, Permanent position at $26/Hour for 40 hours per week with 4% vacation pay as BC's Employment Standards. Various work locations as per company's contracts. English is a required language. 1 to 2 years of experience and completion of high school is required.

    Work conditions and physical capabilities: Tight deadlines, Large workload, physically demanding, bending, crouching, kneeling, standing for extended periods.

    Work site environment: At heights, Noisy, Dusty, Hot, Cold.

    Job Duties:

    Read and interpret specifications and blueprints to determine layout and calculate requirements.

    Assist and suggest clients to select the color schemes and wall coverings for interior and exterior surfaces.

    Mix and thin paint to obtain desire color and texture.

    Remove old wallpapers and loose paint.

    Trim, smooth and shape surfaces using sand paper.

    Repair cracks and holes in walls and apply sealer.

    Apply paint or other material such as enamel, oil, fiberglass, metal coating or fire retardant using brushes, rollers or spray equipment.

    Paint small items and touch up using paint brushes.

    May provide estimate cost to the client.
