    James Wilson Barristers is a boutique insurance defence litigation firm located in Toronto, ON. We specialize in various areas including property damage, arson, fraud, commercial general liability, product liability, environmental, personal injury, motor vehicle, occupiers' liability, subrogation, errors and omissions, boiler and machinery, and jewellers' block. Our firm has extensive experience advising primary insurance companies, as well as excess and reinsurers, on insurance coverage issues and disputes.

    Role Description

    This is a full-time on-site role for a Litigation Associate - Insurance Defence. The Litigation Associate will be responsible for conducting legal research, drafting and arguing motions, preparing for and attending depositions, and representing clients in court. The role requires the ability to handle a high volume of cases and work effectively in a fast-paced environment.

    Qualifications
    • Strong background in law
    • Experience in conducting legal research and drafting motions
    • Ability to prepare for and attend depositions
    • Familiarity with the court system and courtroom procedures

    Additional beneficial skills and qualifications include excellent written and verbal communication skills, attention to detail, ability to work under pressure, and a commitment to providing high-quality legal services.
