Fort Garry Industries has an exciting opportunity for a Human Resources Assistant to join our team at our corporate office in Winnipeg.
The HR Admin/Assistant provides administrative support within the Human Resources and Health and Safety department.

Their primary duties include assisting with the day-to-day admin functions, hiring/exiting, process, record keeping, reporting, training certificates, filing and special projects.

Duties and Responsibilities:


  • Provide administrative support to HR and Health and Safety.
  • Maintain training records and update systems as needed.
  • Audit outstanding training and coordinate completion with managers and health and safety
  • Proof and edit department documents for errors, consistency, and attention to detail.
  • Support and may lead orientations, onboarding programs and update records with new hires.
  • Generate HR reports and metrics pertinent to recruitment, turnover, and other HRrelated data.
  • Other duties as assigned.

Qualifications & Experience:


  • Minimum of 12year HR related experience preferred.
  • Demonstrated experience in recruitment and talent acquisition, encompassing sourcing, screening, and interviewing preferred.
  • Well rounded comprehension of HR principles, practices, Employment Standards, Human Rights and WCB WSIB regulations an asset
  • Previous experience with applicant tracking software an asset.
  • Strong written and verbal communication skills in English
  • Excellent phone mannerism and interpersonal skills
