The Ballard People & Culture team seeks a dedicated and passionate
Talent Acquisition Specialist to join as an integral part of our talent team, driving the primary goal of hiring world-class talent.
To succeed in this role, you must strategically partner with our hiring managers to source, attract and hire top talent for our fuel cell manufacturing operations.
Responsibilities:
- Collaborate with HR Business Partners and leaders across the organization, developing a deep understanding of their strategic objectives and hiring needs
- Acquire, report, and leverage competitive intelligence to prepare ongoing recruiting updates for hiring managers
- Demonstrate a strong bias for executing ideas that will make the recruiting program and team stronger with a commitment to representation, inclusion, and accessibility regarding searches (DEI) both daytoday & strategically
- Establish yourself as our social media "Brand Ambassador" by innovating and promoting the Ballard brand and our Employee Value Proposition
- Develop and maintain meaningful working relationships with third parties such as search firms, job websites, social media, and postsecondary institutions
- Develop and maintain a deep understanding of our business, the market, our competition, and emerging trends within the talent acquisition market
Qualifications:
- An undergraduate degree or equivalent experience with related training and education is preferred.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills and the ability to work well with a variety of stakeholders throughout the business
- Assertive and selfmotivated
- Commitment to the highest ethical standards
- Driven to grow your career and excel at your role
- Customer service oriented with a focus on providing highservice delivery and partnership.
- Agile, with the ability to work in an autonomous environment, handle multiple competing priorities and quickly adapt to shifting priorities to meet deadlines
- Demonstrated sensitivity and discretion when handling confidential information
- Proficient knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, PowerPoint, Word)
- Demonstrated ability to be professional, calm, flexible, resilient, solutionoriented, and creative
- Crosscultural sensitivity, knowledge of and ability to work with people of diverse backgrounds
