Our shop boasts a stunning room featuring classic chocolates, macarons, cakes and pastries; all items are hand-made daily using only premium ingredients.

Barista crafted espresso and liquid chocolate beverages are also a central part of the cafe, complimented by a selection of sandwiches, soup and savoury offerings.


JOB SUMMARY:


ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

(other duties may be assigned as required)

  • Assisting in the daily preparation of ganache, bars, garnish, and confections.
  • Assisting the Sous Chef with the daily product transfer between locations.
  • Work closely with the Sous Chef to train new pastry cooks
  • Supports the Sous Chef with monthly inventory counts
  • Maintains sanitation standards throughout the kitchen to comply with Provincial regulations
  • Ordering product and maintaining appropriate ingredient levels
  • Ensures food quality and consistency in production
  • Maintain an organized and clean prep/work area, fridge, and dry storage
  • Ensure daily, weekly, and monthly cleaning checklists are completed

Experience and Qualifications:


  • Minimum 3 years of related chocolate experience in a fine dining or patisserie setting
  • High attention to detail with regards to product presentation and design
  • Ability to multitask, ask for support and support others
  • Completion of a designated culinary school
  • Ability to multitask with an eye for detail
  • Excellent interpersonal skills and fluent communication skills in English
  • Highly committed to a premium level of quality
  • Displays a positive attitude, maintains enthusiasm and celebrates success
  • Flexibility to work evenings, weekends and holidays
  • Capacity to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment to meet production schedules and timelines
