Embark on a career that goes beyond the balance sheet As a Strategic Offsets Officer, you're not just crunching numbers; you're crafting a narrative that propels Canadian program success.

In this role you would be the architect behind uncovering financial strategies that align with our goals and open doors for further growth and innovation.

You'll play a pivotal role in the development and execution of Industrial and Technological Benefits (ITB) plans, and can expect to:

  • Identify, develop, and submit activities eligible for Canadian ITB credit in collaboration with internal stakeholders.
  • Provide timely financial analysis and support to the Strategic Offsets team, generating ITB reports in compliance with contractual requirements.
  • Support program audit requirements and financial data requests.
  • Collaborate with program managers, financial analysts, and commercial officers to consolidate and reconcile financial data.
  • Assist in the creation of offset and value proposition strategies and proposals for Canadian pursuits.
  • Participate in contract and subcontract Offset Terms & Conditions negotiations.
  • Serve as the primary point of contact for external stakeholders regarding ITB activities.

Qualifications

Education & Experience:

  • Bachelor's Degree in Business Administration, Commerce, Finance, Accounting or related field. Professional experience may be considered in lieu of education;
  • Analytical capacity to understand project cost and accounting principles, and to identify trends and problems throughout the program cycle;
  • Proficient with MS Excel, and familiarity with Power BI and financial systems;
  • Strong written and verbal communications;
  • Experience with negotiations; and
  • Experience in Canadian Offset management under the Industrial and Technological Benefits policy would be considered an asset.
