Description
Vancouver Hebrew Academy is a dynamic Orthodox Jewish Day School. We are looking to fill a number of positions for the 2023/2024 school year in our General Studies department. There is no requirement for applicants to have knowledge of, or be able to teach Judaic studies. VHA is a small independent school located in Vancouver. We are looking for dedicated and enthusiastic educators to join our General Studies team. Our average class size is between 7-10 students.

Applicants must:

  • possess a British Columbia Professional Teaching Certificate and be prepared to work positively towards the fulfillment of the Vancouver Hebrew Academy Vision and to work in a collaborative/team environment. Our teachers will be prepared to support all students as they become
  • Learners, Thinkers, Innovators, Collaborators, and Contributors
  • Preference will be given to those applicants who have successful classroom teaching experiences and are willing to work in a collaborative/team environment to implement BC's Education Plan and the Redesigned Curriculum. Applicants should have experience in providing inclusive learning opportunities that reflect the unique needs and interests of all students. Training/experience in the use of Quality Assessment practices including differentiated instruction, criterionreferenced grading, and Assessment For, As, and Of Learning.
