You will report to the Manager, Operations and Maintenance, Hydro and will be responsible for carrying out electrical maintenance projects on various Innergex hydroelectric sites in collaboration with the supervisors and plant managers.


Your day-to-day

  • Diagnose independently on PLCS, HMI and programming software such as: Control Expert, Wonderware, etc;
  • Monitor performance indicators and detect anomalies;
  • Be able to recognize and solve problems with various electrical equipment (auxiliary equipment, alternators, transformers, disconnectors, controls, etc.);
  • Reduce the probability of failure or degradation of equipment operation;
  • Perform and/or supervise various types of tests or repair work on power equipment in our facilities;
  • Plan corrective work and perform preventive maintenance and repair of equipment;
  • Ensure that onsite interventions are in line with production optimization;
  • Accompany and guide suppliers on site;
  • Follow up and manage projects;
  • Supervise preoperational verifications and commissioning of new electrical equipment;
  • Write verification, anomaly and followup reports;
  • Respecting safety requirements and rules;
  • Availability to be on call.

Your skills, our requirements

  • DEC en électrodynamique, génie électrique, électronique industrielle ou équivalent
  • Carte électricien hors construction est un atout;
  • Formation en cadenassage, dangers d'éclair d'arc et code des travaux Hydro-Québec est un atout;
  • Connaissances des essais électriques sur les équipements de puissance (disjoncteurs, transformateurs, sectionneurs, alternateurs, etc.) ainsi que sur les équipements d'essais (Doble, TTR, Megger, etc.) est un atout ;
  • Maîtriser la suite Office (Excel, Word et Outlook);
  • Connaissance des logiciels Schneider, Basler, SEL, GE, AutoCAD est un atout;
  • Connaissances et respect des exigences santé, sécurité et environnement dans l'exécution de son travail
  • Bilinguisme (français et anglais fonctionnel, autant à l'oral qu'à l'écrit) requis pour assurer la collaboration avec différents intervenants à l'extérieur du Québec.

Additional considerations

  • The position is available anywhere in the Quebec City/Levis area.
  • Flexible and available to travel in Quebec, Ontario and the United States (approximately 4050% of the time). Trips can be from 2 to 10 consecutive days, depending on needs.
  • Must have a valid unrestricted class 5 driver's license and a passport;
