ORGANIZATION BACKGROUND


The John Noble Home (JNH) is a "Class A" facility and has a proud and long-standing care-giving tradition, dating back to 1881.

Today, we offer several different quality programs devoted to senior housing, care, and services that operate within our care campus.

All meet and serve the needs of both Brant County and the City of Brantford and their respective constituents as we are a municipally operated and governed facility.

The John Noble Home consists of 156 long term care beds with planned expansion, a community-based day & stay program and senior's apartments.

***: Under the direction of the Director of Environmental Services, this position will act in a supervisory role overseeing the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department in the absence of the Direct and participate in the updating of the Home's Capital Asset inventory.


QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Proficient in Microsoft Suite programs, including Word, Excel, and Outlook.
  • Effective communication and written skills.
  • Experience in inventory tracking systems, including Maintenance Care is considered an asset.
  • OSSD or equivalent, a Trade Certificate would be considered an asset.

DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:


Maintenance:


  • Working with the Director of Environmental Services, responsible for the operations of the maintenance department including; the coordination of daily, weekly and monthly maintenance requests and annual maintenance work
  • Review of Maintenance Care tickets and prioritizing work related to risk analysis
  • Coordinate with outside contractors and in supervision as needed.

Capital Investment:


  • Complete and update the categorization of all current capital assets including building systems, furniture, fixtures and equipment.
  • Estimate or obtain information regarding capital assets including but not limited to; original cost, current value, condition, estimated useful life and replacement costs.
  • Participate in update of asset inventory control tracking, processing and procedures including policy development.

Health and Safety:


  • Must comply with organization Health and Safety Policies and procedures.

STARTING SALARY:
$61,757 annually.
