Description

Organize the display of clothing, shoes, and mannequin for optimal display attractiveness. Continually assess trends and manage displays to ensure continued interest within boutique space. Interact with customers by answering inquiries and giving advice/ recommendations. Assess inventory of stock and advise supervisor of new stock requirements.

Job Description and Responsibilities

Betula Boutique Retail Clerk

Responsibilities:

Process different forms of transactions; i.e., cash, debit/credit cards, and gift certificates, using VMX POS system.
Follow best work practices, policies, and procedures when handling any transaction to ensure customers are charged correct prices and receive correct change for their items, whether in person or over the phone.
Utilize POS system to input new inventory items as they arrive.
Build repor with customers throughout each transaction to secure future cliental and sales.
Ensures boutique is properly stocked, labelled, clean and well merchandised.
Assist with in store housekeeping to ensure clean and functioning environment.
Merchandise and prepare displays using new and existing products to promote continued interest in store.
Prepare products for sale. i.e., pricing, unpacking, assembling, and cleaning.
Answer phones and provide the appropriate information to customers in a timely manner.
Assist customers with attaining a dressing room and be available to offer assistance with products when required.
Provide a pleasant and welcoming shopping environment for all customers.
Ability to adapt and prioritize multiple tasks and situations with effective time management skills while maintaining friendly and inviting attitude.
Proven ability to work independently, as well as in a teamoriented environment.
Punctual, dependable, highly values honesty, integrity, and authenticity.
Flexibility to work a variety of shifts including day, weekends, and some holidays as scheduled.
Maintains proper personal image and care of company apparel.

Working Conditions

Physical Requirements

It is important that applicants have good physical stamina to endure long days working on their feet. Applicants should be comfortable lifting 40+ lbs on a regular basis.

They may be expected to lift various heavy objects such as plants, pots, home décor, or various gardening supplies throughout the workday.

Applicants must be aware this job will require extended periods of standing and walking on tiled floors. They should feel comfortable kneeling, crouching, going up and down on a ladder, etc. Please inform us of any hearing or visual impairments.
