General Description


We are looking for a highly organized Automation Project Manager to create production schedules and oversee production & project processes.


To be successful as an Automation Project Manager you must be able to multitask and oversee several operations at a time.


This is an on-site role at our office at 6700 Millcreek Drive, Mississauga, ON L5N 8B3; Monday - Friday, 8:30 AM to 5:00 PM (full-time).


Job Duties / Responsibilities

  • Coordination and completion of projects on time within budget and within scope
  • Oversee all aspects of projects; set deadlines, assign responsibilities and monitor and summarize progress of project
  • Create a production schedule for the job
  • Assist in the definition of project scope and objectives, involving all relevant stakeholders and ensuring technical feasibility
  • Ensure resource availability and allocation
  • Manage changes to the project scope, project schedule and project costs using appropriate verification techniques
  • Manage the relationship with the client and all stakeholders
  • Delegate project tasks based on junior staff members' individual strengths, skill sets and experience levels
  • Meet budgetary objectives and make adjustments to project constraints based on financial analysis
  • Implement cost control programs
  • Order and purchase the required material and equipment
  • Ensure implementation and adherence to health and safety regulations are met
  • Set and monitor quality standards of products
  • Ensure workplace is safe and clean through task delegation and educating personnel
  • Perform other related duties as assigned

Requirements and Skills

  • Minimum 5 years of experience as a Project Manager
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required
  • Knowledge and experience in production and manufacturing processes and techniques
  • Excellent organizational and time management skills
  • Problem solving and conflict management skills
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Industrial Automation (PLC) systems knowledge is an asset

Educational Requirements

  • Bachelor's degree Business, Engineering, Industrial Management or a related field
  • Project Management Professional (PMP) Certification required
