Total Safety, a division of the Total Group of Companies, is an industrial service company specializing in fire, rescue, medical, and safety services.

We are based out of Red Deer, but we service all of Canada.

Total Safety is actively seeking Advanced Care Paramedic for various projects / sites across Canada - please see list below.

These positions offer various shifts, rotations, and durations (typically a 10/4 schedule or Monday to Friday in a Health Centre); some of which would require evening and weekend work.

Travel/flights, accommodations and subsistence will be provided as applicable.

Rycroft, AB. (Terminal)
Vanscoy, SK. (Terminal)
Brandon, MB (Terminal)
Courtright, ON. (Complex)
Calgary, AB. (Construction Projects)

Under the direct supervision of the General Manager, daily task and activities include but are not limited to:

Working in coordination with the Medical Director to provide a fully encompassing approach to health and wellness
Provide frontline support and guidance to patients
Perform clinical assessments, identify emergency signs and symptoms, and provide client support
Conduct thorough assessments, diagnose medical conditions, and develop treatment plans with healthcare teams
Administer medications and provide treatment, while monitoring patient responses and adjusting plans as needed
Educate patients about medical conditions, treatment options, and preventive measures
Maintain accurate and uptodate medical records and documentation
Adhere to healthcare protocols, guidelines, and ethical standards in all patient interactions
Adapt quickly to different workplace environments and demonstrate flexibility in providing care
Detail oriented and highly organized
Ability to work in a fastpaced environment
Excellent communication skills
Safety driven
Positive attitude
Comfortable with computers and online services
Previous experience in a construction and/or oil and gas environments would be considered an asset

To be considered for this role, you must meet the following criteria:

Authorized to work in Canada and possess a valid SIN
Be 19 years of age or older
Have a valid drivers licence with a minimum of 3 years driving experience
Be able to produce a satisfactory driving abstract
Be willing and able to travel out of town
Be willing and able to work outdoor, in varying weather conditions
Be able to pass preaccess drug and alcohol testing and/or physical fitness assessment

To be selected for this role, you
MUST have the following certifications:

Advance Care Paramedic certificate with a minimum of 1 year of experience and registered with the Alberta College of Paramedics
Basic Oilfield Safety Tickets
Other certifications to be discussed as new project requirements arise
