Scope of the Position

  • Ensure our customers have the best possible experience when dealing with our company.
  • Ensure that every process is timely, accurate and seamless with a passion for continuous improvement.
  • Set Operational goals to ensure alignment with Branch Management to create a clear focus and direction for desired results

Major Responsibilities

  • Work as an integral partner to Branch Management to ensure that the following meet required standards:


  • Health & Safety

  • Ensure company standards of Health & Safety are achieved
  • Ensure branch staff are working together to achieve optimum efficiency and branch operational and process goals. Regular reviews with Branch managers and Supervisors of KPIs and scorecard results.
  • Improve efficiency and reduce waste in all aspects of OPCO operations
  • Define, monitor and analyze metrics used for measurement and continuous improvement. Includes adherence to 5S methodology.


  • Customer Visits

  • Obtain direct feedback from our customers (personal and survey) and use this to enhance our ability to provide exceptional service


  • Audit

  • Perform branch operational audits and work with branch managers/supervisors to implement required changes to reach a Pass level. Follow up with branches on all external branch audits.


  • Inventory Accuracy

  • Achieve an Inventory accuracy level of 85% by cycle counting, discrepancy analysis & process enhancement
  • Inventory Loss ongoing review of inventory loss to ensure branches meet Gescan targets
  • Branch Scorecard / Checklist define targets, ensure results are analyzed and targets are achieved


  • System Expertise

  • Be a system expert and resource. Responsible for all system accesses (SX, WISL & RF guns)


  • Equipment

  • Ensure all warehouse and office equipment are being maintained and are in good order. Create replacement schedule to minimize yearly fluctuations in capital investment.
  • Managing risk of fraud & theft by assessing needs and developing & implementing controls. Be watchful and work with management to react quickly to possible infractions
  • Manage and prioritize operational reports to be reviewed by the Operations dept and by branch personnel
  • Work with IT for computer & office equipment requirements. Ensure alignment with other OPCO's.
  • Other duties as assigned

Education & Training

  • 5 years previous experience in Operations required
  • 2 years minimum Management experience required

Experience

  • University/College degree with a specialty in Operations Management an asset
  • Six Sigma or LEAN certification preferred
  • Excellent Microsoft Office suite skillset required
  • Proficient in Cognos and other reporting tools.
