DRAFTSPERSON/DESIGNER

• Producing complete architectural and structural drawing sets based off preliminary designs received from team members or clients
• Working collaboratively with team members to solve structural/design items in creative and efficient ways.
• Design and technical 3D modelling using Softplan
• Communication with clients/builders about assemblies, specifications, and details
• Coordinating with various project suppliers to ensure accuracy
• Coordinating with engineers to obtain necessary reviews/seals
• 5+ years minimum in residential or commercial drafting experience
• Proficiency in BIM CAD software (Softplan preferred)
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office programs
• Good understanding of construction detailing and current methods
• Strong work ethic with demonstrated organizational and time management techniques
• Excellent verbal and communication skills
• Passion for building design
• Competent in Softplan
• Have a degree in architecture or architectural/engineering technology
• Have practical, onsite construction experience
• Can demonstrate thorough understanding of the 2015/2020 NBCC

Salary:
$23.00-$31.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
