    Description

    Human Resources Generalist

    • Reporting to the Plant Manager, this role is accountable for administering and advising on HR programs, policies, and procedures to meet the Plant's staffing needs.
    • Carrying out administrative work related to human resources functions such as attendance management, WSIB, STD, and health and safety paperwork.
    • Providing guidance, advice, and responses to Human Resources inquiries from employees.
    • Collaborating with Plant Managers and stakeholders to develop and implement an annual HR plan addressing key business objectives.
    • Leading recruitment and selection processes for hourly/salaried employees, tracking, analyzing, and reporting on key HR metrics, and making recommendations when necessary.
    • Administering policies, implementing initiatives, and participating in physical inventories.
    • Performing special and ad hoc projects as required.

    Requirements:

    • Diploma or Certificate in Human Resource Management or equivalent with a minimum of 2 years of experience.
    • Excellent knowledge and experience in HR functions.
    • Strong skills in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook) and Kronos.
