The opportunity:


Manitoba Centre for Health Policy (MCHP) seeks a dynamic individual to deliver communication and knowledge exchange about research on behalf of Centre researchers.

The position reports to Associate Director for Planning and Development and works with the Technical Writer, Grpahic Designer and across multiple project teams.


The Knowledge Broker develops and executes integrated knowledge exchange at the MCHP in partnership with the MCHP Executive Team and MCHP Scientists.

This work includes using leading edge, evidence-based methods for integrated knowledge exchange between researchers, government staff, practitioners, service providers, community, and the public; developing and implementing comprehensive communication and dissemination strategies for MCHP; selection and creation of appropriate knowledge products (e.g., print and digital materials, website, presentation materials, social media materials).


The qualifications and experience we're looking for:

  • University degree in health sciences, social-behavioural sciences or a related field is required.
  • Three years of directly related experience is required
  • Experience working with print and web platforms, as well as social media platforms, is preferred.
  • Knowledge of the University of Manitoba's regulations and experience in an academic or research environment is preferred.
  • Excellent written and oral communication skills, attention to the accuracy of grammar, spelling and punctuation is essential
  • Proficiency in web publishing is required.
  • Strong problemsolving skills are required.
  • Strong organizational and time management skills are required.
  • Excellent listening skills are required.
