MAIN DUTIES:

Help receive goods, raw materials (mainly steel), and full/partial assemblies.
Ensure item quantities, materials, dimensions, and other features match build lists.
Catch problems as early as possible, before they impact production.
Operate a forklift to move material within the warehouse and yard.
Transfer material from skids to various production locations.
Read, understand, and follow working drawings.

MUST HAVES:

Must have a valid class 5 BC drivers' license.
Must have reliable transportation to get to work in Mission, BC.
Must be able to read a tape measure (feet and inches).
Must have a minimum of 1year forklift experience.

Punctuality and reliability are essential.

NICE TO HAVES:

Valid forklift operator certificate preferred
Previous experience loading materials to/from delivery trucks.
Experience working in the manufacturing industry
Able to work occasional overtime as required by the workload
Previous steel handling experience preferred.

WORKING CONDITIONS:

Regularly required to stand; walk; sit; climb stairs or ladders.
Regularly required to kneel; bend; squat; push; pull; reach above and below the waist.
Regularly visits areas where Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) is required.
This position is
outdoor, all year. Rain gear is supplied.
