What can I expect to do in this role?: Your responsibilities will include:
- assisting the Trial Coordinator in maintaining court lists utilizing established scheduling practices;
- identifying and bringing issues that may affect the schedule to the attention of the Trial Coordinator(s);
- assisting in the preparation of statistical information.
How do I qualify?:
Technical Skills:
- You have knowledge of the functions and rules of the Ontario and Superior Courts of Justice, relevant legislation and legal terminology.
Analytical and Problem-Solving Skills:
- You have judgement and problemsolving skills.
- You have the ability to work independently and as part of a team.
- You possess analytical skills to assist with the compilation of statistical data.
Communication and Organizational Skills:
- You have organizational, coordination and planning skills to assist with the scheduling of court sittings.
- You have the ability to work under pressure in a fastpaced environment with competing priorities.
- You have communication and interpersonal skills to liaise with tact and diplomacy with judges, staff, counsel and the public.
