- Communicating effectively with your team and achieving results
- Advising others on effectively managing major commercial claims
- Leading others, not just as a manager
- Post-Secondary Education in an Insurance focused program or related program
- Completed or working towards the CIP designation
- Minimum 10 years of experience in the property and casualty industry
- Minimum of 3-5 years of claims leadership experience
- Completion or working towards CIP/FCIP designation an asset
- Strong knowledge of principles and practices related to claims settlement, policy wordings, insurance contracts, fraud investigations, serious losses and coverage questions.
- Advanced knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite
