We are currently seeking a dedicated Yard Inspector to join our Ferrous Department and contribute to our mission of responsible metal recycling.

The Yard Inspector will play a critical role in overseeing the inspection and quality control processes.

This position requires strong attention to detail, knowledge of ferrous metals, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.


What you're responsible for:


  • Conduct thorough inspections of incoming and outgoing materials to ensure compliance with quality standards and specifications
  • Identify and segregate nonconforming materials, such as contaminants or prohibited items, and take appropriate corrective actions
  • Collaborate with the operations team to coordinate the movement and storage of ferrous materials within the yard
  • Communicate and report any deviations from quality standards, safety concerns, or operational issues to the supervisor or appropriate personnel
  • Follow established safety procedures and guidelines to ensure a safe working environment

Qualifications To join our team**:

  • Excellent attention to detail and the ability to perform accurate and precise inspections
  • Strong organizational and time management skills to handle multiple tasks and prioritize effectively
  • Familiarity with relevant tools and equipment used for measurements and inspection, such as scales, callipers, magnet testers, etc
  • Proficiency in using phones to take pictures and document materials
  • Effective communication skills to interact with team members and supervisors
