POSITIONS AVAILABLE:


Full-Time
-
ECE - full-time. 40 hrs/wk. Mon-Fri 8am-5pm. Brackendale Childcare program. $25.05/hr.


Part-Time
-
Childcare Coordinator - leadership role in department. 20 hrs/wk at various locations. Mon-Fri 1:30-5:30 or 2-6pm. $32.79/hr.

Senior Educator:

- part-time. 25 hrs/wk. 845am-215pm Mon-Thu. 3 hrs admin on Fri. Garibaldi Highlands preschool. $29.85/hr.

ECE - part-time 20 hrs/wk. Mon-Fri 930am-130pm. Brackendale Childcare program. $25.05/hr

ECE:

- part-time, "floater" role. 20 hrs/week at various locations. 4 hrs/day, flexible schedule between 8am-5pm. $25.05/hr

School Aged Child Worker - 25 hrs/wk. Mon-Fri. 845am-145pm or 1-6pm. Summer camp job from June 26-Aug positions available. $24.56/hr


Casual/On-Call

Childcare Assistant - casual on-call hours. Various locations and hours. This is a great opportunity if you're interested in an on-call, flexible schedule. $24.56/hr


QUALIFICATIONS (for ECE and School Aged Worker):

  • ECE, ECEA, or Responsible Adult Certificate
  • One (1) year recent related work experience.
  • Valid approved first aid certificate.
  • Must be 19 years of age.

QUALIFICATIONS FOR SENIOR EDUCATOR:


  • Post-secondary courses in a related field ie. child and youth, recreation, school age care.
  • Responsible Adult certificate or completion of a course, or a combination of courses, of at least 20 hours duration in child development, guidance, health and safety, or nutrition.
  • Two (2) years' experience working with school aged children.
  • Six (6) months supervisory experience.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid approved first aid certificate.
  • Must be 19 years of age or older.
  • Criminal record review.
  • Proof of Covid-19 vaccination.

QUALFICATIONS FOR CHILDCARE COORDINATOR

  • Early Childhood Educator diploma.
  • HighScope Teacher certification or commitment to complete training
  • Three (3) years recent related experience working with children including one (1) year supervisory experience.
  • Or an equivalent combination of education, training, and experience.
  • Valid BC class 5 driver's license,
  • Valid First Aid Certificate
  • Must be 19 years of age or older

Did you know? Fully qualified Early Childhood Educators will receive an additional $4/hr through the Provincial Wage Enhancement program for all positions posted.
