    To support us on our journey, Sinai Health System is looking for a Registered Nurse to support our Coronary Care Unit at Mount Sinai Hospital.

    The Coronary Care Unit is committed to Critical Care Services Ontario's Practice Standards for Critical Care Nursing in Ontario. The coronary care unit is a 6-bed coronary care unit. We care for a variety of patients with cardiac conditions, including patients experiencing cardiac events that may include acute coronary syndromes and cardiac arrhythmias that may occur in all patient groups including the high-risk obstetrical patients.     Job Requirements
  • Current certificate of registration with the College of Nurses of Ontario
  • BScN (preferred)
  • Completion of Level 2 Critical Care Certificate or equivalent from an accredited academic institution (preferred)
  • Completion of Cardiology Nursing – level 3 course (required)
  • Current/recent 1 - 2 years Adult Medical/Surgical experience
  • Current BCLS certificate
  • Current ACLS certificate (preferred)
  • Sound knowledge base and demonstrated skill in: advanced assessment and documentation arrhythmia interpretations defibrillation temporary pacemakers hemodynamic monitoring high alert drug administration lead ECG interpretation set-up and assistance in bedside procedures e.g. cardiac line insertions, etc. complex cardiac patient care e.g. patients requiring inotropes such as dobutamine, milrinone, etc. monitoring telemetry and caring for patients who require or have received thrombolytic therapy monitoring and transporting cardiac patients for inter-facility transfers; pre and post cardiac procedures providing patient education re: cardiac medications, pre/post procedure expectations, etc.
