  • Heritage Program will be responsible for overseeing the day to day operations for a designated number _
- of ILE/AH program sites consisting of ILE/AH classes (remote and in person learning) to ensure: _
- _all program procedures are being followed; _
- _curriculum resources are available and accessible; _
- _learner centered curricula are developed; _
- _responsible for hiring, supervision and evaluation of instructors; _

  • Support Program Manager in ensuring a high standard of quality programming within the available _

Summary of Duties:

Responsible for overseeing the day to day operations of a designated number of program sites

and classes (remote and in person learning);
Responsible for the hiring, supervision and evaluation of instructors and site support staff;
Provide supervision and direction to Instructional and support staff, within assigned portfolio;
Host regular meetings with staff to discuss and share information;
Conduct regular online and in person school visits and classroom observations to support

instructors and support staff;
Visit online and in person classrooms regularly to observe student engagement, lesson planning

and to interact with students and instructors;
Provide ongoing coaching and support with respect to current online and in person teaching

methodologies and curriculum to incorporate best practices for learners and instructors;
Assist instructors in implementation of in person and online assessment and evaluation tools;
Assist and coach instructors to complete progress reports each term; review, edit and provide

feedback to ensure accurate reports;
Identify and conduct in person and online professional development activities for instructional and

support staff;
Working with the Program Coordinator to oversee the use of TDSB's International Languages

  • Elementary Curriculum by instructors and to support the development of student centered
learning;
Assist and coach instructors in using TDSB ILE/AH materials to ensure that ideas and resources
are consistent and shared amongst the program;
Monitor, provide feedback and support for classroom lesson planning and student portfolios;
Ensure a full staff complement each day in assigned sites and co-ordinate the calling of staff to

ensure class coverage;

Ensure that staff comply with TDSB policies, procedures and requirements, including relevant
Collective Agreements;
Oversee online and in person student intake, monitor class enrolment, and check Ministry
attendance registers;
Determine staff assignments in accordance with collective agreements for assigned sites in
portfolio to meet the needs of the program;
Assist in coordinating the collection and reporting of statistical and financial data for budget,
program development and planning, prepare reports as required;
Coordinate administrative procedures such as payroll, materials fees collection, in accordance
with TDSB policies and procedures;
Manage materials and resources budget for assigned classes and program sites in area and
allocate budgets on a site by site basis;
Facilitate and evaluate feedback from stakeholders to improve programming and ensure it is
meeting students' learning needs;
Liaise with TDSB staff and communities;
Ensure that health and safety standards are met within the portfolio of assigned sites, including

the planning and regular implementation of emergency site evacuation drills;
Participate in planning and coordinating special events and keep the Program Manager informed

of activities;
Participate in projects that enhance the Board's profile;
Meet with staff, students and parents who have attendance, performance or behavior problems

(may be required to mediate/resolve disputes);
Resolve issues through communication with school Principals and caretaking, and refer

unresolved issues to the Program Managers;
Assist in the promotion of programs, including through print and online tools;
Meet with the school council representatives as required;
Provide leadership in fostering and inclusiveness in the development and implementation of

programs and services; and
Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications:

Three year community college diploma in a related discipline with three years' experience in a

progressively responsible related position, or an equivalent combination of education and
experience;
