The programme:


  • Pictet Trading & Sales (PTS) provides direct access to global markets, offering bespoke trading solutions across a wide range of asset classes. Our teams of sales traders, IT specialists, strategists and quant analysts are assisted by a full suite of risk and control functions as well as the latest technology.
  • PTS is looking to hire a Graduate for Multi-Asset Trading to work on our trading floor in Montreal.
  • We offer a unique 24month experience comprising a permanent position and featuring a specific program of rotations in different teams to build your expertise and professional skills. At the end of the program you will be a fullfledged member of PTS Montreal. This graduate program emphasises teamwork but will also explore your personal skillset.

Your role:


  • During the program you will report to the PTS management in Montreal and have the opportunity to take part in various activities of the Montreal office as well as PTS activities in Geneva and other divisions of the Pictet Group during a sixmonth rotation at the Geneva headquarters.
  • You will be able to learn from passionate professionals and assist them in their daytoday work. You will also execute orders on various asset classes and be involved in producing weekly and daily market reports as well as performing market analysis and helping make workflows more efficient.
  • You will have access to a wide range of experts in the firm, gain a thorough grasp of the activities conducted on the trading floor and at the same time form part of an international graduate network. On the technical side you will prepare for a specific certification (e.g. CFA). At the same time you will have the chance to develop your soft skills through our Group Graduate Training Program.
  • This programme is an excellent foundation for starting your career with PTS. By the end you should be fully prepared to take on a role on the trading floor.

Your profile:


  • Recent or soontobe graduate with a university degree in Finance from a top university.
  • Between six months' and two years' experience, preferably in an international environment.
  • Keen interest in financial markets, macroeconomics and multiasset classes.
  • Good command of key programming languages such as Python.
  • Strong analytical, organisational and communication skills.
  • An unassuming team player with an inquiring and innovative mindset.
  • Fluent in English and French; Spanish would be a plus.
  • Valid work permit and must be resident in Quebec.
  • As the chosen graduate you will show agility and enthusiasm in your work, be eager to learn, demonstrate a keen interest in finance and contribute by making use of the new approaches and technologies you learned about in your studies
